The inaugural Mission Beach Film Festival is hosting a photographic exhibition to showcase the wonder of the Cassowary Coast Region and the talented photographic artists of the area.
The photographic exhibition will be held over the three days of the Film Festival, from Friday 5th to Sunday 8th November 2009 and will share the screening venues, as an integral, easily accessible, part of the Festival.
Criteria
- All images must be of the Cassowary Coast Region and broadly reflect the Festival’s theme of “sustainability” and the region’s natural environment.
- Exhibition entries must be submitted in two forms
a - Printed image with a minimum size of 8” x10” mounted on firm card or backing (see Roger at Unique Frames for the special price of $15 for this service)
b - Digital CD (jpeg or tiff file) with a minimum file size of 1MB. (These digital images will be displayed on screens throughout Mission Beach during the Festival, with accompanying titles and acknowledgement of the photographers.)
- Maximum number of entries 5 per person.
- Each entry must include a tag with the artists name, age if under 18, title, location of picture and can include a story to accompany the printed image.
- People’s choice award – prize TBA
- Entries are to be delivered to the Micorp office, Shop 8, Village Green, Porter Promenade, Mission Beach (40886877) by 5.00 pm Friday the 23rd of October, and must be collected before 5.00 pm Monday 9th November, after the festival, from the same location.
There is no entry fee or rules on age or experience, so join us and display your best work showcasing this incredible area.
